Electric Tricycles

Internal gears are a major benefit for tricycles. They require almost no maintenance, are simple to shift (if you can work the switch on a ceiling fan you can operate these gears) and can be changed while the tricycle is stationary. Imagine that you have pulled up to a sudden stop and are in a high gear. Simply select gear 1 and off you go again. You cannot do this with derailleur or external gears.
The three stage PAS (pedal activation system) is like a cruise control for a tricycle. When you pedal the motor operates in 3 separate speed/power modes. Throttle control is only legal in Australia on 200W motor electric bikes and tricycles. Our motors are High torque 250W so a start assist/walking throttle feature replaces the throttle with a maximum speed of 6 Kph.
The battery is a Samsung Lithium Ion 48V 10Ah and will give you approximately 50km to 70Km of assisted riding, yet only Weighs 3.3Kg. We upgraded to 48V to aid hill climbing and complimented it with a max torque 45Nm Bafang motor. This is plenty for most customers and is as far as we can go within the legal requirements for electrically assisted cycles.
