Head west out of town to the motorway and take the on ramp south towards Grafton. Cross two small bridges and then take the first left into Pimlico Rd and follow that all the way to Wardell. At Wardell, go under the bridge past the toilets and onto the Alstonville-Wardell Rd. Follow this past the bypass roadworks over a few little rollers and down the other side, then keep an eye out for the Marom Creek Hall on the left.

At the hall turn left into Marom Creek Rd and follow that until it ends in a three-way intersection, go left over Marom Creek and head up the Tucki hills. Over two climbs, at the top you will meet Wyrallah Rd, turn left and a few hundred metres along there is a cemetery on the right.

If you go into the cemetery, there is an aboriginal Bora Ring in the back left corner. Continue along Wyrallah Rd past the cemetery and down the hill for a flat run all the way to Woodburn. Cross the river into Woodburn and turn left for toilets and shops.

When you're done, head back over the bridge and take the first right into Kilgin Rd and follow that along the river all the way t Broadwater Rd. At Broadwater Rd turn right,there is a rest area with a toilet about 200m along and about 500m after that turn left into Bagotville Rd. Follow Bagotville Rd along the edge of the Valley to the end and turn right back onto the Alstonville-Wardell Rd and head back to Wardell. At Wardell go under thr bridge then left up onto the bridge and cross to the south bank and out onto River Dr and follow that back to the ferry an into Ballina.

An alternate route back from Woodburn is to continue along the old Pacific Highway (now Langs Way), back to Wardell.
